Labs to request for fertility planning — baseline ovarian reserve, cycle hormone patterns, and rule-outs.
What labs to request
- AMH (anti-müllerian hormone) — ovarian reserve marker
- FSH + LH on cycle day 2–5
- Estradiol cycle day 2–5
- Progesterone cycle day 21 (or 7 days post-ovulation if irregular)
- TSH (thyroid affects fertility)
- Prolactin (high prolactin suppresses ovulation)
