Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. The FDA has approved branded semaglutide products for type 2 diabetes (Ozempic, Rybelsus) and for chronic weight management (Wegovy).

It is given as a once-weekly injection or, in one form, a daily tablet. Use, dosing, and monitoring are directed by a prescriber.
