Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide activates two gut-hormone receptors, GIP and GLP-1. The FDA has approved it for type 2 diabetes (Mounjaro) and for chronic weight management (Zepbound).

It is administered as a once-weekly injection, with dosing and follow-up managed by a prescriber.
