Newson Health is a UK menopause clinic group founded by GP and menopause specialist Dr Louise Newson. It offers private consultations focused on perimenopause and menopause, including assessment for hormone replacement therapy (HRT) where clinically appropriate.
The group also publishes the free "balance" menopause app and a large library of patient-facing information. Those resources are free to use in the UK regardless of whether you become a paying patient.
Because it is a private service, fees apply for consultations and any private prescriptions. Many of the same treatments — including standard HRT — are also available on the NHS through your GP, usually at NHS prescription cost or free depending on your UK nation.
UK availability
UK-wide via remote video consultations and a number of in-person clinics. Self-pay (private); not an NHS service. Consultation and prescription fees are set by the clinic — check current fees on their site.
Regulatory status
Prescribing clinicians are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). In England, independent clinics of this type are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Verify current registration before booking.
The NHS alternative
The NHS route for the same care is a GP appointment (or an NHS menopause clinic on referral). Standard HRT is available on the NHS. See the NHS pages below before paying privately.
